Why is Vanced no longer available?

You can still download the old Vanced app from the Play Store, but the developer says that it is no longer supported. The app is no longer available for purchase either, and Google has put a red warning sign next to its name.

As the developer explains, Google had asked the developers to remove the content filters from the app because they were against its policies. In addition, the developers were asked to remove ads from videos as well.

It has come to light that Google was unhappy with the way in which the youtube vanced app allowed users to block advertisements, even when videos were playing in the background. According to a YouTube user, Google has told the developers that “they would like to allow access to YouTube in apps without ads and background play, and will ask us to provide these new features”.

While Google has made it clear that they want to give developers access to these two important features, the app has still been blocked from being updated, despite being fully compatible with YouTube. In the same way that it has been removed from the Play Store, the app will not be available for installation or updating anymore.

The developer has stated that he is still making changes and improvements to the app, and promises to release a new version soon.
